Insallation
Installing the module couldn't be simpler.
- In your Prestashop installation, go to Modules and Services > Add a new module. Click on it!
- Use the form to upload the customproducttabs.zip file
- Locate Custom Product Tabs in the module's list and install it!
- After installation, locate Custom Product Tabs in the module's list and press Configure to create your first Custom Tab!
Configuration
Create / Manage Custom Product Tabs
Custom Product Tabs allows you to add unlimited product tabs for your products! To create your first one, press Add Tab in the module's menu.
Each Tab has the following settings. Fill them in to create a new!
- Shop — for multi-shop installations
- Active/Inactive — global setting to change tab state
- Name of the tab — a name in all available languages
- Tab Default Content — in all available languages (optional - use it if you need a predefined content for the tab)
- Manufacturers Filter — use this filter if you want to display the tab for specific manufacturers
- Categories Filter — use this filter if you want to display the tab for specific categories
Populate Custom Product Tabs
In order to add content for your product tabs, you should go to your product list. Choose the product you want to edit. In the edit product screen, locate the "Modules" tab and select Product Tabs module. You will see all the available tabs for the current product.
Have in mind that product tabs that are allowed for specific manufacturers or categories, are displayed only after you have related your product to the respective manufacturer - category, and clicked save.
Other Options
Let's take a look at our display options. You can navigate to them, through the last button in the module's menu! Through the options page, we can choose or configure ( depending on prestashop version ) our module's display in the front-end of your shop.
